"Dowry"- A social evil

It makes me feel very sad when I get to know about these issues. Issues meant to be a big word I am an emotional person & I just can’t handle our social issues & social perspective. In a country where we promote “ Beti Bachao Beti padhao” in the same country, we have philosophies like dowry, harassment against women, domestic violence. I mean if you can’t implement the same in your house then why to be so diplomatic by showing your fake concern. I am a person who can’t handle these societal pressures. You know when a father fixes her daughter’s wedding; it takes a lot of courage to give your daughter to somebody else. That itself is a big pressure on the whole family of a girl. But if few days before the marriage if the boys part demands dowry as a pride serving element in a marriage, how can a family handle such an annoying & difficult pressure. We in our country nowadays raise the issues on a toilet, female feticide, and sanitary pads. So why don’t you think dowry is an important case to be discussed about?

Today, one of my friend is going through the period which actually requires emotional support. But I don’t think she needs it. As a person who wanted to marry a girl wants a compensatory amount for what reasons, just to handle a father’s pride? Was that actually taught to us?

A girl itself has the whole strength, if she can give birth to a baby by going through such an impossible pain, then she can do anything. She does not need any freaky hell person’s care. She can manage to do anything in this world.

I am writing this open letter or my piece of inner strength or whatever you call it, don’t matter. The only thing I want to convey to each & every individual in this entire world is that “Stop” “Stop” these bloody nonsense mindset before it’s too late. If a family doesn’t complain about these issues it means that they don’t want the groom’s part to get embarrassed in front of the nation & if they actually complain about these issues then I think its definitely gonna be the biggest trouble in the groom’s part. As nobody will give them their daughters. Their reputation will be ruined forever.

So, I want to request each & every individual, that if you ever get to know about these issues then do complain about it. Because at present it is them but if we don’t stop it then it can come to us also. As there is not a single family which doesn’t have a girl child.

So start raising these issues & I am sure this scenario will soon change. As our Indian youth has incredible power & they can definitely bring the word “change”.

To bring change in the world, you need to change yourself!
